Work it!

Before moving to my new office I scoured the internet for inspiration pictures to give me some ideas on how to decorate my new space. As a decorator I feel it´s so important to have a creative workspace so I surround myself with fabric covered moodboards and cool desk accessories to keep all my stuff organized. I have to admit, my desk is usually pretty messy despite my daily attempts to keep it under control… let´s just call it creative chaos!

My dream house

I grew up in Naples, Florida which is one of THE most beautiful little towns in America. When I went to school there I couldn´t wait to leave and move up to New England and experience four seasons again. Now, having lived in Stockholm for a few years, I am dying to go back to gorgeous weather, beautiful beaches and all around simple and easy lifestyle. Having spent the holidays there I am missing it now more than ever.

So I started fantasizing…

If I were to move back.. what would my little dream house look like? well… let me show you

This would be the front of the house.. except I´d paint the front door black.. and change the fence to a nice green hedge which would be prettier..

Contemporary in Toronto

Trish Magwood has a lot on her plate. She includes TV host, chef, and cookbook author on her resume, so when it came to renovating her house, this busy mother of 3 turned to Rebecca Muha for expert advice and design know how.

Check out how her 1950′s Toronto home turned out!

Bright, bold and beautiful

I’ve had this image in my files for the longest time. First I tore it out of a magazine because I went crazy for the carpet design… now I started looking at it again because of the yellow accents. I love this room! It´s a great balance of color, bold pattern on the wall and great artwork…. not to mention the sheep sculpture. Looks like a Lalanne piece..hmm I wonder…

Design by Philip Gorrivan! bravo!

Kerri Russel – Brooklyn brownstone

I have loved her ever since Felicity which brings me way back to my college days…. ah the knitted sweaters! She´s beautiful, super talented and has such a cool, down to earth vibe about her…. plus she lives in my old neck of the woods.. Brooklyn.

Here´s a sneak peak at her gorgeous Brooklyn townhouse which she shares with husband Shane Deary and their son, River. How cool is that name!!

Village Townhouse

One of many great memories from my time in New York was seeing first hand the gorgeously decorated townhouse belonging to beautiful Allison Serafim. On one of the West Village´s prettiest streets lies this 4 story amazing home (lucky girl!!) decorated by Serafim´s friend and decorator Miles Redd. Each room is sophisticated, chic, inviting and full of interesting art and furniture. I fell in love with it and just kept thinking Allison is one of the luckiest women in the world. One of my favorite pieces in the house is an oversize lucite coffee table which I am dying to recreate for one of my clients one day.

I wonder if she still lives there…
